Firm to create jobs with new N2bn factory

Bobo Food and Beverages Limited, one of the countrys children beverage manufacturers, has said it will generate a lot of employment with its newly -inaugurated N2bn factory in Ogun State.The Sales and Marketing Manager of the company, Mr. Adekunle Curtis, who spoke at the finals of the 2011 edition of Bobo annual Kiddies Brain Test competition, said the new production facility would generate employment and increase the companys production output.Curtis added that it became necessary to invest in the new factory not only to expand the companys operation but to reach and satisfy its consumers across the country, while creating employment opportunities for many jobless Nigerian youths.He said, Talking about the Nigerian market in 2012, with all sense of honesty, the company would do well. Like you must have known, the company started about five years ago and has covered so much ground. We just set up a new factory somewhere at Iju water works and it is worth more than N2bn.The company became operational last month and already, we have sold more than 70,000 cartons last month. This month, we have sold well over 100,000 cartons and the month still hovers around, meaning by the end of the month, we would have sold 250,000 cartons or more. This would mean employment opportunities for teeming Nigerians youths who are jobless and a chance to reiterate to the consumers that we are committed to satisfying them.Curtis explained that essence of the competition was to ensure that the participating children appreciated the need for knowledge acquisition and importance of building a formidable foundation for a better future.In the keenly contested competition, adequate preparations and determination were the core attributes that propelled Command Children School of Bonny Camp, Victoria Island the overall winner, with the aggregate of 11points, beating Hamdalat Group of Schools and Initoro Progressive Nursery and Primary School to second and third with 10 and nine points respectively.The prizes for the first, second and third positions were: a school bus with N100.000.00 cash; 10 set of desktop computers and N150.000.00 and a Photocopier with N200.000.00 cash respectively. According to Curtis, the gift items are to be retained by the school while the cash goes to the parents of the pupils who represented the school in the contest.The participating schools were Initoro Progressive Nursery and Primary School; Frontline International School; Hamdalat Group of Schools; Fibass Nursery and Primary School; Gift of God Children School; Brainfield Montessori Nursery and Primary School; Holy Infant Academy; Blazing Glory Academy; Everbright Scholars and Command Children School.
