Flour Mill Embarks On N8b Expansion

CROWN Flour Mill Ltd (CFM) has announced plans to expand its wheat milling capacity in Nigeria at the cost of about N8 billion.The company's Managing Director, Saurabh Mehra said: 'This investment is a step forward towards our target of increasing our share of the Nigerian flour market. The addition of the new flour mills will enable us to produce the highest quality of flour and semolina in the country. The new flour mills will be capable of producing a special blend of flour and semolina for manufacturing pasta.'This will offer us flexibility in addressing all potential flour needs, i.e, bread, noodle, pasta and semolina. As part of the project, we are also looking to build our capability of receiving and blending of high quality cassava flour in our process, in support of the federal government's initiative on developing the cassava sector'.
