Ekiti people now know who's better between me and Fayemi 'Oni

Precisely on October 15, 2010, the Appeal Court sitting in Ilorin, Kwara State nullified the election of former Governor Olusegun Adebayo Oni and declared Kayode John Fayemi the winner. REMI KOLEOSO met the former governor at his Ifaki Ekiti country home where he spoke on his experience in the last one year, his strength as the governor and his weakness among other issues. Excerpts:It's over a year that you left office as Governor. How do you feel, a year after'I feel very good. When I was in power, I used to say something jokingly that if it were possible within the constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria for a governor to take a leave of a year or thereabout, and allow opponents to come to the reins of power, so that the people would see the difference between what the government can offer, and what a critical opposition can offer, I would have done that. But I did not even have to do that, because the constitution does not permit it.
