2 killed on Xmas Day in Idolehin village

For residents of Idolehin Village in Ado-Odo Local Government Area, Ogun State, Christmas was not a happy period as their celebrations was stopped bt the murder of two Egun women by unknown men.Funmilayo Awosah and Jodenu Ayinke were practically slaughtered in their sleep by the blood thirsty callers who came to the Abule Babalawo in Idolehin village in the night of the Boxing Day.Acording to the villagers, the assailants, who murdered the two women, did not stop at their killing, they also took their heads aways. The villagers woke up to behold the headless naked bodies.Already, the State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, has stepped into the investigation to unravel the mystery behind the gruesome murder of the two women and bring the perpetrators to book.Already, a team of crack detectives from the State Command stormed the village on Wednesday and met the horrific spectacle of the headless women in the pool of their blood. The security operatives commenced preliminary investigation immediately.The villagers who were mainly Egun people, pointed accusing fingers at land speculators who they alleged had unleashed terrors on the community for sometime.When contacted, the Police Command Ogun State spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident. According to him, the command was aware of the incident and investigation was already on to bring the perpetrators to book.It will be recalled that a farmer in the community, Abiodun Ogungbe, was killed on June 29, 2011, less than 48 hours after the naming ceremony of his new baby. Ogungbe's body was found by the roadside some minutes after he was abducted in the presence of his wife. Investigation into his death has remained inconclusive.
