Anichebe lacks confidence - Moyes

EVERTON coach, David Moyes believes Nigeria's international, Victor Anichebe's inferiority complex is his greatest undoing at the top-flight.Moyes reckons Anichebe is endowed to compete and beat the best in the trade but the coach alleges lack of 'self belief' hampers his striker's progress.'He's someone who we've missed, he's someone who's got a lot of potential if we get the opportunity to unwrap it really," Moyes told the club's website evertonfc.com.'He's missed a lot of football. At times he lacks a little bit of self-confidence'', he added.However, the coach believes crowd reaction could help boost the player's talent.''I think the winning goal against West Brom last Sunday and the reaction from the supporters will help him.'Everybody likes it when you score the winning goal in a Premier League game.Moyes also observed the coaching crew has to work on Anichebe's fitness. He played his first game last Sunday since last August after he returned from Nigeria injured.'He even felt tired after 25 minutes. It's going to be a case of gradually bringing him back on and getting him match fit. Victor is obviously happy with his goal and we hope it is a sign of good things to come,' said Moyes.
