BLESSING Ogbonna, creative director, Afrik Xtreme Beauty Makeover, a makeup outfit, believes beauty comes from being simple. This, indeed, is evident in her work. The Economics graduate of University of Ilorin has done makeover jobs on clients such as former Miss Intercontinental Nigeria Pageant (2010), Miss Kwara Pageant (2008), the actor Saheed Balogun and many other high society individuals. She tells GERALDINE AKUTU about her beauty outfit.What's fashion to you'It's who you are or things that tell about one's lifestyle. Aside from enhancing your features, it must be something you are comfortable in.How did you come about the name of your outfit'It came from a client. I did a bride's face and the brother looked at her sister and exclaimed 'you are looking extremely beautiful!' At that moment, the word struck me; but I added Afrik to give it the African touch.What makes you unique'We introduce class and touch that brings out our clients' beauty.And your inspirationActually, it started as a hobby; I love seeing beautiful brows and people with flawless looks. While in the university, my friends were always wowed each time I lined my brows and applied make-up, so, I started making-up for them and later others. In fact, I got it from people around me.What kind of products do you work with'Lovely sheer powder from Bobbi Brown, Kyolan Cover Crmes, Mac Studio Fix powder and Victoria's Secret Lip gloss for its beautiful colours.
