INEC has no power to remove Isiaka, other candidates names

Governor Gbenga Daniel of Ogun State on Wednesday insisted that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has no power to remove the name of the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN), Mr Gboyega Nasir Isiaka and those of other candidates of the party.He said this at the grand finale of his appreciation tour to all the 20 local government areas of the state held in Sagamu, noting that all the candidates of the party passed all the requirements of the commission and were given clean bill of health to contest in the elections.The governor was speaking against the backdrop of a suit filed before an Abuja High Court by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against the candidature of Isiaka and others. I am aware that our people; opposition are going to villages to confuse our people. Dont listen to them. I appeal to you dont listen to them, because all the PPN candidates are already contesting, Governor Daniel said.
