Luis Suarez's First Time in Camp Nou: Snuck in with His Wife to Take a Picture

Published by Bleacher Report on Fri, 10 Apr 2015

Luis Suarez's love of Barcelona is deep-rooted to an almost illegal extent. Albeit, in good nature, of course. On Cope radio's El Partido de las 12(h/tMarca),Suarez revealedthat he snubbed Real Madrid in favour of joining the Catalan giants. Now, he's shared a story about his love of the club and his first trip to the Camp Nou, which, while innocent in nature, wasn't exactly 100 percent law-abiding.The Uruguayan revealed a story toEl Partido de las Doceon Cadena Copa, viaSport English, about passing the hollowed Barcelona ground with his wife Sofiawhile visiting Barcelona and seeing an opening to sneak in and take a quick picture inside the stadium. The opportunity was simply too good to pass up:It was during my second visit to BarcelonaI was going past the official shop and I saw a gate open [to the stadium].I said to Sofia, "Let's go in." "You're mad." "Come on, just a photo." "No, no." "Yes, yes, yes. I'm going."I went in the gate that was open, she followed me and we began to run. We found a good spot and took a photo with all the stadium in the background. I've still not been able to find the photo, though! After we nervously ran out. It was the first time in Camp Nou.He probably wouldn't have been able to predict that years later he'd score the game-winner on the same ground in El Clasico, but such is life with Suarez.[Sport English]
