NTDC to stage road show in Taiwan

The NTDC isplanning toembark on a road show in Taiwan aimed at showcasing Nigeria's rich and diverse cultural potentials and also promote investment opportunities in both countries.The Director-General of the Corporation, Chief Olusegun Runsewe, made this known during a visit by the newly appointed Ambassador of Taiwan to Nigeria, Tim T. H. Yang at the tourism village, Abuja.Assuring the Envoy of greater cooperation between both countries, Runsewe said the Road Show would provide a great avenue for Nigeria to display its culture as requested by the ambassador, saying he also intends to arrange a tour for Taiwanese to visit Nigeria, to sustain the exchange of cultural ideas between the two countries.The NTDC boss used the opportunity to commend Ambassador Yang's predecessor, saying he had a positive working relationship with the latter while reliving his experience when he travelled to the Asian country in 2010. He noted that the Taiwanese were very hospitable people and that he was looking forward to visit the country again.The areas in which the NTDC chief maintained he would like to work with his Taiwanese counterpart are cultural and sports tourism with in-door golfing forming part of the sports tourism.The Taiwanese Ambassador to Nigeria responded saying that increasing greater cooperation between his country and Nigeria will be the fulcrum of his regime.Mr. Yang noted that tourism is very important to his country acknowledging that Nigeria has a lot of tourism facilities that could be enjoyed by tourists in his country hence his coming to solicit NTDC's cooperation in this regard.Speaking further, the Ambassador intimated that he would also like to showcase more of Africa especially Nigeria to the people of Taiwan pointing to the huge prospects that abound in the country citing the thriving show business industry in Nigeria as a case in hand.
