Shailene Woodley's MTV Movie Awards Speech Was So Good, It Made John Green Cry

John Green said he cried every day on set as his YA novel "The Fault in Our Stars" became a movie. Thanks to a touching speech from one of the film's stars, the author's tears recently started flowing again.At the MTV Movie Awards last night, Shailene Woodley took home the golden popcorn trophy for Best Female Performance for her role in 'The Fault in Our Stars.' Her acceptance speech focused on John and the 'beautiful masterpiece' he created when he wrote the beloved love story of Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters. 'His words will transcend time because they transcend any age,' she said in her speech. 'There's not one single demographic that won't be affected by the wisdom and the compassion and the beauty that he laces into every single thing that he does in his life.'The "Insurgent" star, who also won the MTV Trailblazer Award, thanked John for changing her life and brought him to tears in the audience.The author perked up later when 'The Fault In Our Stars' took home the biggest award of the night, Movie of the Year. After the cast and crew hugged it out in the audience, John approached the stage and pretty much stole the show.In his speech, he thanked the people who made the movie possible as well as Esther Earl, the teen with cancer who inspired 'The Fault in Our Stars.'Get More: 2015 MTV Movie Awards, Full Episodes'Esther taught me that a short life can also be a good life, and she taught me that people who are living with disability are not defined by those disabilities.
