Father of new baby shot dead in Ibadan

Policemen at the Target/Ogbere area of Olunloyo, Ibadan, Oyo State yesterday shot dead a 27-year-old motor spare parts seller, Olurin Olateju, during the protest on oil subsidy removal. While trying to disperse the irate youths, who were burning tyres on the road, the policemen started firing into the crowd and in the process, shot Olurin dead. The deceased, according to his elder brother, Soji, was shot in the chest and was later conveyed to his compound at Atipe, Oke Ofa area, where he later died.
