Adepoju hails home-based Eagles

FORMER Nigerian international, Mutiu Adepoju has commended the home-based Super Eagles squad for holding the Nations Cup-bound Palancas Negras of Angola to a goalless.The Eagles, playing before about 7,000 fans at the Abuja National Stadium, team put up a spirited performance in the international friendly but failed to convert the chances created.Reacting to the result, Adepoju hailed the players for putting up a good performance in the match against the Angolan main team.The Club Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) sees the performance of the players as a good omen for the country's football at this time that coach Stephen Keshi is rebuilding the squad."I believe the boys deserve the praise of Nigerians, we should not look at the result for now, but give full backing to coach Keshi in his rebuilding process," declared the former Real Santander of Spain forward.
