Egini community save okada rider from mob attack

The people of Egini community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State have saved a Muslim from being lynched by irate youths of Owawha town in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state.The unidentified Muslim, who was a motorcyclist, was riding pass Owawha community when the youths saw him and gave him a hot chase.They wanted to kill him as a payback for the killing of Christians and burning of churches in Northern part of the country by the Boko Haram sect.The Muslim rode at breathtaking speed to Saint Augustine 's Church, Egini, and dashed into the sanctuary for refuge.The youths in the church and the community received and protected him even when his pursuers insisted that he should be killed to compensate for the huge casualty suffered by Urhobo people so far in the hands of Boko Haram. The church and the community maintained that since the Hausa man, a Muslim, had sought refuge in a House of God, nothing, should by any means, happen to him.Hot arguments ensued and in no time, there was a big fight. The Owawha youths, numbering eight, were over powered to save the life of the Muslim.Our source disclosed that the young Hausa man was later handed his motorcycle and allowed to go home unhurt.
