Ile Ire district appeals to Kwara govt on condition of road

The people of Ile Ire District, in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State have appealed to the state government on the deplorable state of road network in the area.One of the community leaders in the area, Mr Kayode Abogunrin, urged the government to approve and award tarring of the road network from Owode-Ofaro to Oreke-Okegbo as well as Oke-Ode-Alaabe-Oke-Oyan and Owa-Kajola road network.Abogunrin, who lauded the administration of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed over the grading of traditional rulers in Ile Ire district, called for award of the road network to enhance socio-economic activities.The community leader, who said that Ile Ire district has economic potential both in agriculture and tourism, lamented that bad road had impeded the rapid development of the potentials of the area.Abogunrin, who was the former council chairman of Ifelodun Local Government Area, added that the tarred road from Oke Onigbin terminated in Owode-Ofaro, adding that only Babanla and Oreke were linked from Oke Ode axis at the other end, while other seven communities were going through rough roads.He also pledged the maximum support of the Ile Ire people for the PDP-led government in Kwara State under Governor Ahmed.
