Mimiko gives reason for his administrations success

Ondo State governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, has attributed the success of his administration to the synergy and understanding between the three arms of government in this state.The governor, who was speaking at the 60th birthday reception of the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Olasehinde Kumuyi, said more of such cooperation would come as those in the leadership of the arms of government were focused and committed individuals with eyes on a developed and progressive state.Mimiko, who assured the state judiciary of more conducive environment to effectively discharge its duty, noted that his administration would not relent in creating a judiciary that would be the envy of other states in the country.He, however, commended Kumuyi for his vision to establish a court within the premises of the Olokuta prison in Akure, in order to hasten the dispensation of justice and reduce the logistic problems confronting prison officials in transporting accused persons to court for trial.He also appreciated the leadership quality of the chief judge, who, he described as having the interest of his people at heart.'I must commend Justice Olasehinde Kumuyi for his interest in the welfare of his people. He is a man with a caring heart. His commitment towards the improvement of the judiciary is extra-ordinary. This man has brought up a creative solution to prison congestion in the state.'He established a court at the premises of Olokuta prison here in Akure. No doubt, this innovation has reduced the transportation problems being faced by prison officials,' Mimiko said.Kumuyi, however appreciated the state government for prioritizing the welfare of the judicial arm of government and assured that the judiciary would continue to protect the interest of common man.He attributed his success to the support of his colleagues and the entire staff of the state judiciary, who, he praised and enjoined to do more.
