Isalekoto commends philantropist

A non political association in Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State, Akaraje Youth Forum, has commended the immediate past secretary to the council, Mr Atolagbe Alege, for his contributions to the development of Isalekoto community.A statement issued by the forum's chairman, Kadir Abubakar and its secretary, Shuaib Abdulkadir, respectively, said that his efforts were noticed and appreciated.It specifically lauded Alege's gesture geared towards fostering the cause of the forum, particularly in the project embarked upon to assist indigent students in the area in their academic pursuit, noting that his donation of N500,000 had in no small way helped the beneficiaries.While urging the member of the Kwara State Polytechnic Governing council not to relent in his efforts at contributing to the development of the area, it stated that the donations received during its Ileya gathering had been put to use judiciously.According to the statement, the forum through its Education Committee, had worked assiduously to ensure that only those in need of assistance were given.'As a matter of fact, the forum woul have loved to increase the number of the beneficiaries but we have to do that based on the resources at our disposal.'The beneficiaries include students that want to register for external examinations and secondary school students and primary school pupils whose school fees were paid.'This is to show that your efforts are appreciated while we want to urge you to continue in that regard because it is our belief, that other people will one day realize the need to emulate your gesture towards the educational advancement of the area,' it added.It, then, prayed that the donor continued to experience increase on all sides and gain more recognition in his chosen career that would further grant him political elevation for the benefit of Isalekoto community in particular.
