LeBron James, David Blatt Comment on Game-Winning Call, Relationship and More

It's been no secret in Cleveland this season that head coach David Blatt's authority has been questioned at times by people in the media and around the NBA. The first-year NBA coach has had the unique experience of having LeBron James on his team, the league's pre-eminent superstar and one of its smartest players.At times, it has been insinuated that James is essentially a coach on the court. Never was that more apparent than Sunday night, when James essentially vetoed a last-second play call that would have seen him inbounding the ball and instead called for the ball himself, eventually hitting the game-winning shot in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Chicago Bulls. On Monday, the two parties addressed that moment. James was askedfirst, per Ethan J. Skolnick of Bleacher Report:Blatt also explained what happened in more detail:The pair have certainly handled the aftermath of James revealing he changed the play in the huddle in the postgame presser well, but if the Cavaliers fail to advance out of this series or reach the NBA Finals, there will be questions going forward about whether Blatt is the right man for the job.If Kevin Love returns, Blatt will at least have a season of working with three superstarsKyrie Irving being the thirdunder his belt.
