Jigawa council spends N206 million on roads

TO enable farmers transport their produce easily to the markets and also to boost socio-economic activities, Yankwashi Local Council of Jigawa State has constructed feeder roads worth over N206 million connecting all the communities.Chairman of the local council, Musa Abdullahi Karkarna, disclosed this while speaking with journalists on the project executed from 2008 till date.Karkarna explained that the council spent N90 million for the construction of 7.5km Batatsaba/Dunbu/Ringim road while the Yawara/Gangara road cost N37 million.He added that N68 million was expended on the phase two of 12.7 kilometre Yawara-Furji road, pointing out that 1.5 km Murde/Unguwamagaji road was awarded at N11 million.The council boss enjoined the people to support his government for more dividend of democracy.
