Aviation Ministry to pay $6million judgement debt

The Ministry of Aviation is to pay $6 million as judgement debt in 2012, the Minister of Aviation, Mrs. Stella Oduah, told Senators yesterday.The minister, who appeared before the Senate to defend the 2012 Budget of her ministry, said that the payment of the debt, a 2002 judgement against the Nigeria Airways led to the garnishee the account of the ministry.According to her, N49 billion was approved for the ministry and the parastatals under it in 2012. The capital budget was N43 billion while the over head is N500 million and the recurrent is N5.5 billion
