No document to justify transfer of N18.6b by Akingbola, says witness

A witness in the on going trial of former Managing Director of Intercontinental Bank Plc, Dr. Erastus Akingbola, Abdulraheem Jimoh, yesterday told a Lagos High Court in Ikeja that an alleged transfer of the bank's N18.6billon by the former bank chief, was done with no document in the bank's record justifying the transactions.Jimoh, the Chief Inspector of the bank, said this while concluding his testimony in chief as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's first witness in a theft charge preferred against Akingbola and the General Manager, Tropics Finance Ltd, Mr. Bayo Dada.The witness also told the court presided over by Justice Habib Abiru that Akingbola, his wife, Anthonia, and Dada were signatories to the accounts of the companies to which the sum of N18.6billion was transferred.
