Does that mean it is only the press they listen to' We have been asking for the repair of this Odo-Oba bridge for a long time, yet, no solution. Anyway, let the government act fast, otherwise, we would all suffer if the bridge is allowed to caved in,' he stated.A commercial taxi driver, Mr Kunle Aderinto, who said he plied Odo-Oba ' Muslim area on daily basis, said their hearts was always in their mouth whenever motorists tried to cross the bridge. He, however, appealed to the caretaker chairman of Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State to mobilise engineers and road workers to the bridge for timely repair.A shop owner at Muslim area, Mummy Kadijat as she preferred to be addressed, told Community News that the first precautionary measure to avert a serious disaster, especially accident on the fast deteriorating Odo-Oba bridge, was to block the deep gully on the bridge which she also explained had caused okada accident on several occasions. An okada operator, Semiu Babafemi, told Community News that a stranger in the area might fall victim of the deep gully on Odo-Oba bridge, especially if the person visit the area at night.
