Boko Haram'll not be allowed into Benue 'Police boss

BENUE State Commissioner of Police, Mr John Haruna, has said that the command was not resting on its oars to ensure that the state was not infiltrated by members of Boko Haram sect.The police boss said that the members of the sect were very difficult to identify due to their operational mode, which he said gave little opportunity for the security operatives to fish them out.He charged the people of the state to always be security conscious and on the alert with a view to identifying strange faces within their vicinity to the police.Haruna said that the command would soon convey a meeting with stakeholders, including community and religious leaders to sensitise them to measures to be taken to beef up security within their domain.Mr Haruna said that the command had earlier met with managers of banks based in the state in the sensitisation programme.It will be recalled that Benue State was said to be on the list of the Boko Haram sect for invasion.The police boss, however, said that all the security operatives in the state are not taken the information with levity and as such have stepped up series of moves to ward off any act of security challenges in the state.
