Customs men storm school, beat teacher to stupor

THROWING decency, decorum and caution to the wind, a Customs officer and father of a secondary school student in Ibadan, Oyo State, led his wife and some other colleagues and beat a teacher to stupor 'for having the temerity' to discipline his erring son. The angry team, who later mobilised and stormed the Senior Secondary School, Ijokodo, Ibadan premises in commando style, even fired gunshots into the air, thereby forcing other students and staff to scamper for safety. According to some students, staff and traders spoken to yesterday, men of the Nigeria Customs Service shot sporadically to scare people away from rescuing Gbenga Ogunleye from the grip of four uniformed men.
