Iba local council tasked on development projects

Officers of Iba Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, have been advised to wake up from their slumbers and embark on projects that would make meaningful impact in the lives of the people of the area.Some of the residents who spoke to Community News on the decay in infrastructure in the area, lamented that the council could not boast of any meaningful project since its inauguration.The residents lamented that almost all the major roads in the council were in terrible state.'We usually call the attention of the local council to the poor state of the roads in the council, but their usual excuse is that they would repair the roads and do necessary things during dry season. Now, we are in dry season, they are yet to start work, hence we run to the press to wake them up.'Some of the streets visited by the Community News were in terrible state, begging for attention.Some of these roads were Mechanic area, Iyana Isashi, Church Street and Alao Street.A motorist in the area, Fatai Alimi (Ugoh) told Community News that 'This is the best time for the local government to fix this road. This area is usually water log during rainy season. We are begging them to do something for our people here. We need good roads in this community.
