St. Bernadette's sports facility built to improve talents, says Doregos

THE state-of-the-earth mini stadium built by the management of St. Bernadette Schools in Ipaja, Lagos, will help children in the area to improve their sporting talents and also provide a broad-based education curriculum for all round development.These were the words of the school's proprietress, Clementina Doregos, during the commissioning of the stadium. Doregos' passion for sports permeates all sports, as she has continued to blaze the trail for others to follow with her consistent sponsorship of the yearly basketball championship for private schools in Lagos.With the commissioning of the stadium this week, Doregos said, 'in this part of the world, we neglect and lose focus on the important role sports development plays in our children and youths, hence no one cares - neither the government nor the society. That is the bitter truth.
