Reps assure Nigerians on subsidy probe

The House of Representatives assured at the weekend that it would ensure anyone indicted over its probe into the fuel subsidy controversy faces the full wrath of the law.Spokesman of the House and Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Alhaji Zakari Mohammed who spoke to newsmen in Ilorin, Kwara state also insisted that the body of federal lawmakers was not divided over the ongoing probe of the subsidy issue, saying that the House will ensure that the committee does it job and submits its report appropriately.Zakari, representing Baruten /Kiama Federal constituency of Kwara state, argued that members of the lower chamber of the National Assembly are of the opinion that the controversial subsidy on fuel is sustainable if the federal government blocks all leakages and wastages surrounding the scheme.
