Frankie Dettori continued to resurrect his horse racing career as he won the 2015 Epsom Derby riding the odds-on favourite Golden Horn in a dramatic come-from-behind victory.The Italian won the Derby for the second time in his careeras he made his first appearance in the race since 2011.The 44-year-old's career once looked to be in serious jeopardy after being handed a six-month drugs ban, but Dettori's comeback is complete with this victoryand in some style.Epsom Derby's official Twitter feed confirmed the result:Here are the race results and their respective starting odds:All eyes were on Dettori before the race, but it was Elm Park and Hans Holbein who raced to the head of the field out of the gate.As the horses approached the mile mark, the pair remained in the lead with Storm the Stars, Epicuris and Jack Hobbs in the chasing pack withGolden Horn well behind.With three furlongs to go, Jack Hobbs edged ahead of Hans Holbein, who had run magnificently up to that point.As the finish line drew nearer, Dettori spurred on Golden Horn and from seventh charged all the way to the end, pushing Jack Hobbs and powering ahead to win by a single length.Channel 4 Racing was on hand to capture the dramatic conclusion:Dettori was visibly ecstatic with the victory and celebrated with his trademark flying dismount:Dettori spoke to Channel 4 after the race, and said:"It is unbelievable. What a feeling. I cannot believe it.I did feel the pressure coming into it because it was up to me to mess it up. It is such a good horse."John Gosden, who trained both Golden Horn and Jack Hobbs, was full of praise for both horses:The power and endurance the pair showed was magnificent as they chased down Hans Holbein, who unfortunately faded away toward the end, and broke Aidan O'Brien's three-year winning streak at Epsom.If their Derby runs are anything to go by, both horses have a long and exciting future ahead of them.For Dettori, it seems as though he has overcome his personal demons and is well on his way to getting his career back on track.
