Ilesa Cathedral Diocese installs new Iya Ijo

The Diocesan African Church Cathedral,Aragan, Ilesa,Osun State has installed Lady Evangelist Shola Fafowora as new Iya Ijo of the dioceseSpeaking during the installation ceremony, the Bishop of the Diocese, Rt Reverend Hezekial Adetoro advised the new Iya Ijo to show exemplary leadership quality and commitment to the work of God.Also speaking after her installation,the new Iya Ijo, who was full of joy, thanked God that the ceremony went on without any hitch,expressing appreciation to the Bishop and other Ministers of God who presided over the ceremony.Lady Evangelist Fafowora promised to discharge her responsibility with zeal and to contribute her own quota towards the development of the church.While thanking those who graced the installation ceremony,she noted that her new position was a call to the service of God and humanity,saying that the position came not by her might but by the Lord's grace.She advised other members of the church to be committed to God's work,stressing that they too could be rewarded one day. She urged the Christian across the state to be fervent in their prayer for the progress, growth and peace of the state and Nigeria as a whole, while also urging them to have absolute faith in God Almighty.Her husband,Sir Oladele Fafowora was also full of joy at the occasion, adding that all things went on as they were planned.The Baba Ijo of the Cathedral,Chief Olatubnde Oluborode thanked God for the life of the new Iya Ijo and the Diocese.He then urged the church members to continue to cooperate with the leaders and officers of the church,adding that with the installation of the new Iya Ijo, the volume of work on him would reduce drastically.
