Wales vs. Belgium: Team News, Predicted Lineups, Live Stream & TV Info

Published by Bleacher Report on Fri, 12 Jun 2015

Wales host Belgium in a mouth-watering clash as the pair go head-to-head at the top of Group B in the race to qualify for Euro 2016.Belgium currently sit atop the group ahead of the Welsh on goal difference, so it's all to play for in a match that will see some of football's biggest stars take to the stage.Marc Wilmots' charges have been outstanding so far, scoring 13 goals in their five games while conceding just once. Chris Coleman's Wales have scored a more modest seven goals but conceded only two as they find themselves ahead of the likes of Israel and Bosnia and Herzegovina.Read on for the latest team news and predicted starting lineups, but first here is all the TV and scheduling information you need to ensure you don't miss any of the action.Date:Friday, June 12Time:7:45 p.m. BST, 2:45 p.m. ETTV:Sky Sports 5, ESPN 3Live Stream:Sky Go, Watch ESPNTeam NewsBelgium will be missing two key players when they travel to Cardiff.Wilmots confirmed that Marouane Fellaini will miss the game due to a groin injury:Per BBC Sport, he said:"He is not ready for selection and leaves the squad for further rehabilitation."The BBC report also notes that captain Vincent Kompany is suspended for the game, while Jason Denayer is doubtful to start as his training session on Thursday was cut short.Wales meanwhile have not reported any absentees, and indicated on Twitter that their key men will all feature:Here are the predicted lineups:Both sides boast a wealth of Premier League and Champions League regulars, so the match should be an entertaining affair.Wales are unbeaten in their last five matches in Cardiff while Belgium have not lost in their last seven qualifying matches away from home, so a draw could be on the cards on Friday. In their last outing, Coleman played a 5-3-2 formation as his side beat Israel 3-0 away from home. Back on home turf, he is more likely to opt for a more attacking formation, with Gareth Bale and David Cotterill set to cause the Belgians problems on both flanks just as France did in their recent friendly.Though they will miss the set-piece threat that Kompany and Fellaini provide so well, the Red Devils have plenty of pace, power and creativity in forward areas, so Ashley Williams and Co. will have a busy night at the back.Wales' 0-0 draw with Belgium in November will give them great heart going into this match, but the pressure to attack in front of the home crowd could prove overpowering.Belgium's attacking prowess will be a huge threat on the counter-attack, and that could well swing the match in their favour on Friday.
