CPC charges INEC on election materials

The Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in Borno State, has raised the alarm thatsensitive electoral materials which are said to have been kept with Divisional Police Officers (DPO) are now issues of concern, as the credibility of the elections depends on state of the materials as kept by the police.Chairman of CPC in the state, Comrade Zannah Shettima, stated this while briefing newsmen on Wednesday at the CPC headquarters in Maiduguri, Borno State capital.Comrade Shettima while speaking to the press said, it would be good if materials are taken to the venues of elections in the presence of all political parties, press and security agencies to ensure that these materials are not tempered with.The CPC chairman, who also denied entering into any arrangement or undertaking with the PDP for marriage of convenience in the April election said that, the only arrangement they had was with the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) which assured CPC of their support and in compliments guaranteed their support for CNPP as CPC according to him, is wielding stronger towards electoral victory.
