NATIONAL telecommunications operator, Globacom, last weekend took its top corporate subscribers to Manchester, England, to watch the Manchester-Liverpool cracker.The telecoms firm said the trip was in appreciation of the massive support it got from the corporate sector over the years. On arrival in Manchester last Friday, the delegation was received by top officials of Manchester United, who later handed the team over to one of the Curators of the Manchester United Stadium Museum on a guided tour of the facility.The Curator regaled the delegation with the history of the club and showcased all the trophies the club had won in the Champions League, FA Cup, Carling Cup, English Premier League and other competitions.They were also shown the dug-out where the coaches of both the home and visiting teams sit during matches, the tunnel from where players emerge into the pitch, the players' dressing room and the players' lounge.Commenting on the tour, the Managing Director of Consolidated Breweries, Haarsma Boubewijin, said, 'the trip was very well organised, it was time well spent. The hospitality at the stadium and the dinner was awesome.'The Executive Director, Human Resources, Nigerian Flour Mill, Mary Uriah, who was also in the delegation, added: 'I'm impressed by the arrangement and organisation of the trip. And in his remarks, Addax Petroleum's Head of Telecommunications, Martin Okulaja, said: 'First of all, I'll like to thank Glo for the opportunity.
