The USMNT captain tore up the referee's book in extra time of Seattle's U.S. Open Cup loss to Portland on Tuesday. Dempsey missed the first of three MLS games on Saturday, as the Sounders fell to San Jose 2-0.Gyasi Zardes scored one of the LA Galaxy's five goals on Saturday night at StubHub Center. The electric forward netted the club's third tally of the contest in the 56th minute.
