Yakubu, Kaita get Eagles' recall

SUCCOR has finally come the way of Nigerian international duo of Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Sani Kaita as Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi included their names among the 11 Europe-based professionals in the call-up for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match in Rwanda.Aiyegbeni and Kaita last featured for Nigeria at the 2010 World Cup where both players fumbled and Nigerians held them responsible for the early ouster of the Eagles from the tournament.Kaita was shown a straight red card in the game against Grecce when he kicked out at Vasilas Torosidis in the 33rd minutes of the game which Nigeria lost 2-1 eventually, while Aiyegbeni on his own part missed a begging chance against South Korea.Keshi, who has been monitoring both players progress has opted to give them a second chance in the Eagles by inviting them for the February 29 clash.Rubin Kazan striker, Obafemi Martins and Chelsea midfielder, Mikel Obi names were missing on the list which Vincent Enyeama, Joseph Yobo, Taiye Taiwo, Dickson Etuhu, Joel Obi. Ike Uche, Osaze Odemwingie, Ahmed Musa were penciled down. The 11 Europe-based professionals invited would be joined by the local based players for the encounter on February 26.
