Gov Wada charges transition committee

THE transition committee set up by the Kogi State governor, Captain Idris Wada, has been charged to maintain fairness, equity and justice in the discharge of its assignments so as to bring rapid transformation to the state.Governor Idris gave the charge while inaugurating the transition committee at Government House, Lokoja.According to him, his government will make fairness and equity its watchword.He further urged the committee to turn out the report that would galvanise his government to meet the demands of the ever changing and dynamic economy.He posited that the committee was not vindictive but a facts finding team.The governor, who was full of praise for members of the committee and other party faithful who worked tirelessly for his victory, promised to run an open-door and transparent administration that would include all segments of the citizenry.He said, "to avoid lopsidedness, I decided to nominate members on equal number from the 21 local government areas."The committee is made up of five members from each of the 21 local governments areas.
