Eagles to take charter flight to Ethiopia -Umeh

THE Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), is planning to take the Super Eagles to Ethiopia for the crucial 2012 Nations Cup qualifier in June, against the Walya Antelopes on a charter flight.Vice Chairman of NFF, Chief Mike Umeh disclosed this while speaking on Metrosports adding, that the charter flight arrangement would only be implemented if the fund is available.We may have problem with the high altitude in Ethiopia and that may affect the performance of our team so, we intend to go to Ethiopia by a charter flight.The chairman of the technical committee (Chris Green) according to the arrangement is to leave Ethiopia immediately after the match and logistics have been put in place to make this plan possible, Umeh said.He also revealed the second plan by the nations ruling body for the crucial game in Addis Ababa.If we are not able to raise money for the charter flight, it means we have to go there early enough to acclimatise. We are going to stun them (Ethiopia) at their backyard, Umeh opined.Nigeria is second on the table with six points from three games behind Guinea which had seven points.The Eagles hammered the Antelopes 4-0 late last month in Abuja and need to win as well in Ethiopia to remain in contention for the groups sole ticket to the 2012 Nations Cup.
