Traditional ruler seeks succour for the poor

The Baale of Ajoda New Town, Oba Oke road, Osogbo, Osun State, Sheik Oluwafemi Oluwafunminiyi Yussuf, has called on the three tiers of government in the country to always remember the underprivileged people in their day to day activities.The community leader who was speaking with Community News in Osogbo recently, while celebrating his 53rd birthday, said it was imperative for the government to involve these people as they are part of the society.His words, 'There must be a recognition for the underprivileged, government should extend hands of fellowship to them, as well making them happy as any one who demonstrated this culture will have mercy before God.'Sheik Yussuf who enjoined the people to love each other, most especially Muslim and Christian brothers and sisters, noted that, it was necessary for every human being on earth to celebrate his or her birthday for the person to appreciate God who is the creator.Sheik Yussuf further enjoined Muslims and Christians to always be faithful, loyal, generous and should not see themselves as enemies.He, however, appreciated people that contributed in no measure to the occasion like the Chief Imam of Yoruba land, Alhaji Sheik Mustapha Olayiwola Ajisafe and other Alfas and Imams from far and near.
