Group organises football competition among communities

In its bid to foster unity and cooperation among youths in the country, a non-governmental organisation, Ransomed Christian Centre, has organised football competition among youths in various communities in the country.The competition which is tagged 'the communities cup,' is organised by the NGO as part of its International Restoration Crusade, at Ikenne and Sagamu areas of Ogun State.The competition will run from April 3rd-15th , 2012 at Gateway Stadium, Sagamu . To participate in the competition, interested communities are to obtain registration forms at National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos; Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta; Dipo Dina Stadium, IjebuOde; Gateway Stadium, Sagamu; and Fun Factory Centre, (Fun Turf) Itamaga, Ikorodu, Lagos.Community Development Associations (CDA) can raise team to represent their communities and the winner would be compensated with project to be executed in the community by the organisers Prizes to be won for the communities of the wining teams include a community water project, computers for the community school, books for community school. Also, cash prizes of N50, 000, N30, 000 and N20, 000 will be given in addition to the winners.The spokesperson of the centre, Pastor Tosin Onayiga implored traditional rulers, local government chairmen, members of CDAs and pastors to encourage youths in their communities to take advantage of the opportunity to bring development project to their communities through this competition.
