I wont step down for Ajimobi - Ladoja

THE governorship candidate of the Accord Party in Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, has dispelled rumour that he may likely step down for the governorship candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Senator Abiola Ajimobi, ahead of the April 26 governorship election in the state.Ladoja in a statement signed by his Media Assistant, Alhaji Lanre Latinwo, in Ibadan, on Monday, said he was still the Accord Party governorship candidate in the state.The former governor disclosed that he had neither stepped down for the ACN candidate nor had he endorsed any candidate, contrary to the continuous rumour being peddled by the ACN.He said that the story relayed last Thursday on a radio station in Ibadan that Accord Party had asked people to vote for a particular presidential candidate was false, describing it as malicious and damaging to the images of Accord Party and his.He said that contrary to some of the so-called progressives lies that he would return to his former party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he had left the PDP for good.He, therefore, advised the people of the state not to listen to them because they did not have anything other than telling old women tales.
