Her death painful - Fashola

Lagos State governor, Mr Babatunde Fashola, SAN, on Monday, described the passage of Otunba Olubusola Soyode as painful.Otunba Ayodele Soyode, one of the children of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo and mother of Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo, the wife of the former Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General in Lagos State, Professor Yemi Osibajo, 66, passed on on Sunday, April 10, 2011 during a brief illness.In a condolence letter to Mrs Osinbajo, Governor Fashola described the death of her mother as painful, noting that Otunba Soyode bore to the very end the values with which her pedigree was readily identified.A scion of the acclaimed sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, your mother, till the very end, bore aloft the values of integrity, honesty and service to humanity which any reference to her pedigree readily connotes, Fashola said.Noting that the loss of a mother could be a painful experience, Governor Fashola declared that without doubt, Otunba Soyode would be sorely missed in several facets of life in which she left inspiring imprints as the kindhearted mother, the astute legal professional, the caring wife and the devoted Christian leader.
