Pablo Sandoval Injury: Updates on Red Sox Star's Elbow and Return

He also saw time on the bench for his conduct. According to ESPN.com's Gordon Edes, he was benched for a game on June 18 for using the social media site Instagram during a game.Missing time is nothing new for Sandoval, who missed 99 games between the 2011 and 2012 seasons with the San Francisco Giants, as B/R's Adam Wells notes.Sandoval is a legitimate power threat, but he has struggled to find his form in his debut season at Fenway Park, hitting just .250 with 10 home runs and 39 RBI, as the Red Sox sit in the AL East cellar, 12.5 games back of the division-leading New York Yankees.If the slugger is forced to miss time, Brock Holt, Xander Bogaerts and Josh Rutledge will likely all see some time at the hot corner.
