Oil theft reduced from 1.2m to 250,000 in 2014 --Chief of Naval Staff

Chief of Naval staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, has disclosed that the Nigerian Navy reduced crude oil theft from 1.2 million barrel a day to 250,000 barrels in 2014.He made the disclosure in an interactive session with newsmen during his maiden visit to the officers and men of the Eastern Naval Command, Port Harcourt, at the weekend."I think you may have the records of the efforts put in by the Navy last year by reducing crude oil theft drastically from about 1.2 million barrels a day to something close to 250, 000 barrels. That was achieved last year", he said.
