Mark, Tambuwal condole with IGP over officers' death

Senate President David Mark and Speaker Aminu Tambuwal have commiserated with Inspector General of Police Mohammed Dikko Abubakar over the chopper crash that claimed the lives of officers and men in Jos, Plateau State yesterday.Mark, in a statement yesterday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan, said the late officers died in active service of their fatherland.'My heart goes to the families of the bereaved. This is one sad loss, too many. These officers died in active service in their resolve to secure the citizens of Nigeria,' he said.The speaker, in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Malam Imam Imam, said he received the news of the air mishap with great sadness.'They were gallant officers who met their deaths while searching for lasting peace to the myriad of security challenges confronting the country in general, and Plateau State in particular,' Tambuwal said.
