Jared Fogle to plead guilty to child sex, child porn charges

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) ' Federal prosecutors who charged longtime Subway pitchman Jared Fogle in a child-sex and child pornography case say he capitalized on his business trips to New York City on behalf of the sandwich-shop chain to arrange trysts with minors.The 37-year-old Fogle agreed Wednesday to plead guilty to allegations he paid for sex with girls as young as 16 and received child pornography produced by the former director of his charitable foundation, which raised awareness about childhood obesity.The case has destroyed Fogle's career with Subway and could send him to prison for more than a decade.He's expected to enter a formal plea at a later date to one count each of travelling to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and distribution and receipt of child pornography.Join the conversation about this story
