Newcomer to Koch scene, Bush competes with tea party class

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) ' Billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch are opening the tea party's door for Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush.Bush is speaking Friday in Columbus, Ohio, at the annual summit of the Kochs' flagship conservative organization, Americans for Prosperity. He'll address an expected 3,000 activists as the conference's keynote speaker.Five of the 17 GOP presidential candidates, including Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, plan to be in Columbus for the two-day summit.Notably absent will be Ohio's own Gov. John Kasich, whose office is less than a mile from the convention hall.Bush's time as governor preceded the rise of the small-government, tea party movement.
