Glo N1b SIM reg promo: Pregnant woman, others collect cheques in PH

Published by Nigerian Compass on Thu, 22 Mar 2012

It was another time of jubilation on Wednesday as 10 Glo subscribers who recently emerged winners in the ongoing Glo N 1 Billion SIM registration promo collected their cheques of N1 million each in Port Harcourt. The winners are Helen Obioma Agu, a lecturer at the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, Akinyemi Ganiyat Taiwo, a business woman from Port Harcourt, Rivers state, Owodunni Ashiru, an auto mechanic based in Kaduna state, Dominica Ihuoma Nwosu from Lawanson, Lagos, and Ikuyajesin Fehintola Mujidat, a business woman from Otta, Ogun state.Others are Adetomiwa Adetunji, an accountant from Akure, Ondo state, Ola Sulaimon Adeseye, a business man from Mushin, Lagos; Christiana Etu, an expectant mother and business woman from Aba, Abia state, Amos Loveth, a staff of the Kwara State Traffic Management Authority in Ilorin, Kwara state and Nwabufor Ubachukwu, a Pastor from Nnewi, Anambra state.Rejoicing at the way good fortune had come their way through their loyalty to the Glo network, the winners were full of praise and thanks to Glo for constantly making the effort to change the lives of its subscribers through reward programmes and incentives.According to Owodunni Ashiru, winning in the Glo SIM registration promo was both a surprise and a blessing. 'This is a lot of money which I never expected to have from any source. I want to thank Glo Chairman, Dr. Mike Adenuga and his company for changing my life. This money is very timely as I will use it to complete my house which is still under construction', he said.Another winner, Mrs Christiana Etu, who was very sceptical when called that she had won money for registering her SIM believes the good luck was brought about by the new baby she was expecting and her unwavering loyalty to the Glo network.'My husband and I were initially sceptical until we went for verification at the nearest Gloworld office. Now it is clear to me that Glo keeps its word and is the best network around. We are yet to decide what to do with the money though we think the money should be for our baby. We pray that Glo will continue to grow from strength to strength', she stated. For Nwabufor Ubachukwu, a pastor at the Victory Bible Church in Nnewi, Anambra state, the money has come at a good time since it would help in promoting his passion for God through evangelism.'I am grateful to God for he is faithful. I am also so grateful to Glo for giving me this great surprise. Initially, I did not believe because of the activities of fraudsters, but now I am so joyful and excited. Glo is our own indigenous network unlike others who may come and go. I want to urge all Nigerians to switch to the Glo network because it is the best all round', he saidSpeaking earlier at the event, Globacom's Divisional Director, South Territory, Mr. Charles Odiase said that the ongoing 'Another Glo N1 Billion Blast' was a special initiative intended to show appreciation to Glo subscribers who register their SIM cards and also thank them for remaining loyal to the Glo network over the years. He urged existing and potential Glo subscribers to go ahead and quickly register their SIM cards as the extended Glo N1 Billion SIM registration Blast will reward Glo subscribers across the country who register their SIMs with prizes of N1 million for 10 subscribers daily and N500 worth of airtime/sms daily for another 60,000 people who register and recharge their lines during the duration of the promo.
