Hotsports brings London Olympics to Nigerians

AS the kick-off date for the London 2012 Olympics draws close, HotSports Nigeria Limited, a leading sports media marketing and production company, in conjunction with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), has concluded plans to make Nigerians savour all the exciting moments of what has become the world's foremost sports fiesta.As a prelude to the competition which begins on July 27 in London, HotSports, in a couple of days, will be hitting the airwaves with a countdown programme on the Olympics titled HotSports Highway to London 2012, a 30-minute package on television designed to reach millions of sports fans with interesting features meant to sensitize them for the Olympics.According to Taye Ige, the CEO of HotSports, the programme will comprise thrilling segments including: "The World Stage", which focuses on the countries that have dominated the Olympics and their preparation for London 2012; "Yesterday's Legacy", a special look at past Olympics heroes who symbolise the Games' spirit and "Stars of the Moment", a segment that showcases major stars that would dominate this year's Olympics.HotSports Highway to London 2012 comes on air at 3.30pm on Saturday on NTA Network beginning from April 7, 2012.Other segments are "Team Nigeria", which is a segment that beams its searchlight on the country's team and its preparation for the London 2012 Olympics, with special interviews with athletes, coaches and officials, and "Olympics Quiz Games", an interactive part where viewers will participate via a social network devoted to the programme.
