NAFDAC DG commends Amaechi over state-owned medical industries

The Director-General of the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Mr Paul Orhi, has lauded the Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, for setting up in the state and sustaining the state-owned Integrated Medical Industries Limited that manufactures syringes and other medical devices.The NAFDAC Director-General spoke yesterday, shortly after a facility tour of the syringe and other medical devices manufacturing plant in Rumuosi, East-West Road, Port Harcourt.The syringe and other medical products manufacturing plant owned by the Rivers State Government was recently pre-qualified by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to manufacture syringes and other medical devices that could be used anywhere in the world.
