Social Media Marketing from APCON

THE Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) is perfecting plans for a two-day training programme on social media marketing for practitioners in marketing communication industry.Billed for Sheraton Lagos between April 11 and 12, 2012, the capacity building session is designed to enhance participants' understanding of digital media; appraising the customer engagement potentials of the social media; deploying online assets to achieve deeper, beneficial customer interaction; positioning the brand and influencing consumer perception using the social media; and protecting the brand against competitive onslaught on the social media.Expected at the two-day forum are creative and account planning personnel of ad agencies, managers in media independent agencies, brand and communications managers, information and public affairs officers in government ministries, agencies and parastatals among others.Resource personalities expected at the two-day training programme include Dr. Anderson Uvie-Emegbo of School of Media and Communication, Pan African University; Head, Brand & Communication, Forte Oil Plc, Nkiru Olumide-Ojo; Managing Director, DDB Lagos, Ikechi Odigbo; Chief Imagination Officer, Orange Academy, Kehinde Bademosi; and Managing Director, Samsung West Africa, Idy Enang.
