10,050 policemen for Oyo

The Nigeria Police in its efforts to boost security in todays Presidential election have drawn additional  personnel from Zone 11 of the Force to Oyo State to complement the 10,000-strong officers and men of the state command. The newly deployed Police Commissioner for Oyo State Command, Alhaji Saliu Hashimu, disclosed this to journalists in Ibadan on Friday shortly after holding a meeting with top officers of the command.  He remarked that the additional men became imperative to redress the inadequate security noticed in last Saturdays polls in the state.
