It is okay to incorporate trends into your closet, if they fit your body shape but classy pieces never go out of style. I am a huge fan of delicate jewelry made of real gold, and you can never go wrong with a beautiful clutch and matching shoes. Uniqueness of your style I lean towards quirky style, especially when it comes to accessories. You may see me with feathers around my shoulders or a very tall and intricate turban; it could also be the Old School shuku hairstyle and a ball gown. I dress according to my mood, and to me its a creative process to see what can be thrown together to make something good. I am a big believer in adding some pizzazz to an outfit. Favourite colour I love white. Its a timeless and classic colour. You can wear it anywhere. When you think of white, you think of crisp, clean, and it is quite calming. Favourite piece of clothing Ankara; Im an African woman to the core and very proud of my culture. Favourite designerIn Nigeria, that would be Frank Osodi, and overseas, Donatella Versace. Favourite signature scentI am a perfume freak. I have up to 500 collections. So, it is very hard to pick just one. However, Im in love with Gucci and Salvatore Ferragamo. Everything they do, they do to perfection. Also, Yves Saint Laurents (YSL) is quite good. Most expensive fashion item ever bought A pair of Gucci sunglasses. What would you not be caught wearing any day Capri pants. What would you consider as fashion & style faux pas Mesh (see-through) tops. Not only are they tasteless and slightly vulgar, they are not actually fashionable; a complete waste of fabric. What do you consider sexy in both men and women Self-confidence. How often do you update your wardrobe Quite often, as I am in the public eye a lot. What is on shopping list for the month Healthy Nigerian foods, salad materials, natural yoghurt, brown (ofada) rice, wheat-free cereals and lots of fruit. Favourite food Steamed efo. Likes Drive, determination and strong-will. Im a very strong willed person. DislikesI hate laziness with a passion. Secret of beauty and young lookI drink lots of water; it helps cleanse the system and keeps the skin breathing. I also do Yoga and Pilates, which are really good breathing exercises that keep me lean and focused. I eat fruits and vegetables and avoid processed foods. And I use my products everything is natural and organic. Choice travel/holiday destination A cruise to the Caribbean with the ship filled with lots of activities for all agesmusic, karaoke, comedy acts, swimming pool, basketball and then land on the most beautiful Island you have ever seen and go swimming or boat-cruising. What would you change in Nigeria, if given the opportunity Everything; though, efficiency is our biggest problem. We are used to doing things one way even though that way doesnt work. We need to learn to adapt and manage our resources and time wisely as most industrialised countries have done. I am not a politician in the least sense, but I do have a few ideas. Apart from efficiency, we need to give more independence to the state governments, and have a sense of pride in our country.
